Season 11 Fixtures

CELTIC - AINTREE VILLA - OLD SWAN - POSITIVE FUTURES - GREEN MAN WEDS - CSKA MOSCOW - JAY

Hilltop 3 - 9 Celtic

First game of the season against Celtic, a young team of local lads. Things started brightly with an early goal from Craig, Celtic seemed new to the pitz but after they equalised our team lost composure and before we knew it, they started to dominate with flashes of individual skinnage from one or two of their team. Phil Cave was injured around the 10 minute mark leaving us with just one substitute (Ken, Rod and myself were already missing through injury/sickness). Plus, with David being hungover (usually someone with a high tempo), we looked out of shape and tired.

Overall a few key players from our team didn't really perform, although I felt Burke had his best game in a few weeks and if the rest of the lads could have shown the same spirit, we could have done better.

Game ended on a bitter note when the was a small fight between Stimo and one of their players, hey it happens, it just wasnt "ideal" when 15 other lads ran onto the pitch to provoke things.

Dissapointing start to the season after we should have won last seasons top division but we knew it would only get harder with the summer teams rejoining. Hopefully we will have our new kits by next wednesday and we can start afresh.
